For The Hollywood Star
The Cully Association of Neighbors failed to complete a Livability Contract with the Pink Marlin restaurant and, as a result, will fight the liquor license it is seeking. In November Cully voted to authorize chair Kathy Fuerstenau to negotiate such an agreement and, if she succeeded, not to oppose the establishment’s license request. (This was in spite of a history of problems at the location as its previous incarnation as The Table and owner Craig Desmavais’s plans to have an adults-only establishment.) According to Fuerstenau, she sent Desmavais a draft contract, but he neither signed it nor responded to phone inquiries.
