Northeast Community Center board president
The Northeast Community Center (NECC) has hired a new executive director who leads by example. Kim Montagriff was drawn to the NECC because of its combination of fitness, wellness and sense of community, which reflects her own values.
“I believe in the power of physical activity and movement as a tool for personal health and community engagement,” Montagriff said.
Montagriff has an athletic lifestyle. She’s competed in marathons and an Ironman Triathlon; in addition, she plays a friendly game of tennis. As a non-practicing attorney, she has volunteered her time to Elders in Action, Senior Law Project and other volunteer opportunities in the community. Her son Tanner is looking forward to enjoying the swimming pool and other youth activities at the NECC.
Before joining the NECC, for three years Montagriff worked as executive director of Do Jump — Extremely Physical Theatre. The NECC recently celebrated its eighth anniversary and looks forward to Montagriff leading the organization in new and exciting ways of serving the community, membership and staff.
