Catering to commercial visual identification, designer Keith Buckley has opened shop in the Hollywood District. Buckley is enthused about the volume of business available to him and concentrates on what he calls “nice projects.” A California native in Oregon since 1972, he claimed, “the webbing between my toes is fully developed.”
Included in Zap Graphics’ services are photography, brochures, website design, CD design and other visual aspects of commercial branding. Among past clientele are Marv & Wendy Ross’ Trail Band, the Portland Trail Blazers, legal and architectural corporations. A sampling of Zap Graphics’ work can be seen at www.zapgraphics.com.
As a sideline, Buckley gives ukelele lessons that have developed into Tuesday and Thursday Hollywood Senior Center “Uke Jams.” Buckley’s musical side impelled him to state, “There are openings available for new students in Ukulele 101 and Intermediate Ukulele classes at my studio, starting January 8th and 9th.” While speaking about the simple instrument of the Islands, he mused about making Hollywood the ukelele capital of the world.
