The Hollywood Neighborhood Association board will publish its quarterly newsletter online, with a limited number of print copies available at specific businesses in the neighborhood.
The board decided at its January meeting to cease deliveries of the newsletter to households and businesses for several reasons, according to a news release. Cost is a major consideration, but security at apartments and condominiums keeps distributors from reaching some households. The cost of printing has continued to rise over the years, and delivery by U.S. Mail is very expensive for the association, according to the news release.
Residents and business people may read the quarterly newsletter online or sign up to be on the association e-mail list at www.hollywoodpdx.org.
Printed copies of the newsletter will be available at the Hollywood Senior Center, 1820 N.E. 40th Ave.; The 42nd Street Station, 2000 N.E. 42nd Ave.; Hollywood library, 4040 N.E. Tillamook St.; Whole Foods, 4301 N.E. Sandy Blvd.; The Hollywood Theatre lobby, 4122 N.E. Sandy Blvd.; and Central Northeast Neighbors Coalition office, 4415 N.E. 87th Ave.
