Registration is open for performers and vendors to participate in the 17th annual Alberta Street Fair, scheduled for Saturday, August 9.
The daylong celebration of community, art and music brings more than 20,000 people to the commercial district, hosted by Alberta Main Street.
The fair will includes three stages of entertainment and 300 vendor spaces between Northeast Tenth and 30th Avenues.
Performers, who must use original material or work that is clearly in the public domain, must apply by April 21. Acts may include music, dance, children’s performers and other work that represents the cultural diversity of the neighborhood. Local artists, crafters, organizations and food vendors may participate, with fees varying by the type of material and size of booth. Registration is due June 15 for early-bird discounts. Information and registration is online: albertamainst.org/whats-happening/street-fair/vendors.
Alberta Main Street advances efforts to develop the street as a vibrant, creative and sustainable commercial district serving residents and visitors. The fair organizers recommend walking, biking or taking public transportation to the fair. Extra bike parking lots will be provided.
