The Oregon Arts Commission provided a general operating grant of $40,000 to support the 2014-15 season. This will enable Milagro to maintain its home production schedule and touring programs, advance experimental programming and strategically plan for the organization’s future, according to Sarah Kohler, development assistant.
The Regional Arts & Culture Council awarded an operating grant of $18,040 for works celebrating risk-taking and creativity, Kohler said.
The Carpenter Foundation, a private family foundation established in 1958, provided Milagro with $1,500 to support a two-day bilingual arts residency at Crater High School in Jackson County. This funding permits Milagro to provide high-quality bilingual arts education to underserved students in Jackson County, Kohler said.
