Senator Ron Wyden stopped by the Hollywood Senior Center on Thursday morning, during an AARP Tax Aide program intended to help seniors with the Federal filing process. Wyden met with advocates from AARP and CASH Oregon to discuss identity protection and financial safety for seniors. He also shared ideas for streamlining and simplifying the tax code.
“For Senator Wyden to hear first hand from those who provide these types of financial services for seniors is really beneficial in advancing legislation and promoting awareness,” said Amber Kern-Johnson, Hollywood Senior Center executive director. “Senator Wyden is able to move things at a national level that could have a real positive impact for our community.”
