Linda Merrill has been promoted to senior vice president and chief operations officer of Albina Community Bank.
She joined the bank in 2006 as vice president/retail service manager. She was promoted in 2008 to senior vice president and senior operations manager. A native Oregonian, she has more than 30 years of local commercial banking experience including management roles at Unitus Community Credit Union, Bank of the Northwest and First Security Bank.
“Linda is a key member of the bank’s senior leadership team, and has recently taken on additional duties and responsibilities,” said Cheryl Cebula, president and chief executive officer. “This new position more accurately describes the job she is doing at Albina.”
The bank has also named Josephine Downey as customer service manager for the Beaumont and Rose City branches.
Downey also represents the bank in the community to support the bank’s mission and community focus.
“We are pleased to have Josephine overseeing the day-to-day operations of the two branch locations,” said Merrill. “Josephine excels at delivering exceptional customer service, and our customers in the Beaumont and Rose City communities will truly benefit from her expertise.”
