Produce Row, the landmark Portland bar where the McMenamin brothers launched their burgeoning brewpub empire, will reopen in May under new ownership.
Alan Davis, who owned the Central Eastside business for nearly 40 years, recently sold the bar to local restauranteurs Josh Johnston and James Hall.
“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to carry the torch for this beloved Portland institution,” said Johnston. “We hope to honor the past and bring some new energy and give Produce Row back to the neighborhood.”
After a small kitchen construction project, the restaurant and bar is slated to open later this month.
