Outside lights have been installed and three new vendors have been secured for the 42nd Avenue Food Carts, realtor and property developer Rambo Halpern’s growing food cart pod adjacent to the popular Pollo Norte restaurant in the Concordia neighborhood.
Plans are in place to add some covered seating and Halpern hopes to add at least two more carts, with the possibility for the total to grow to eight.
In addition to Pupuseria Imperial, which serves Salvadorian food, and Rosa Nesta’s Tamale Rose, Han Ly Hwang has opened another outpost in the space for his renowned Kim Jong Grillin’ Korean barbecue fare. Pollo Norte will operate a beer garden in the space to compliment their famous, Mexico City-style rotisserie chicken.
“It’s only been a couple of days, but traffic has been strong and the food is amazing,” said Halpern. “We’ve had a great neighborhood reaction and we really appreciate the support.”
Interested vendors can contact Halpern at 503-473-4127.
