More than $50,000 was raised in a recent golf tournament to benefit the Windermere Foundation, which supports local programs for low-income children and families.
Nihad Aweidah, a Windermere Stellar real estate agent, created the golf tournament six years ago and has been heading it since then with support from other brokers and staff. Through sponsorships, raffles and golf packages, the tournament has raised nearly $225,000 over six years for the foundation.
“Windermere Stellar is a team whose reputation is built on providing our best to each client,” said Aweidah. “We couldn’t be more thankful for everyone’s support, which allows us to help those who need it most.”
The golf tournament at Columbia Edgewater Country Club was presented with Penrith Home Loans. The tournament is one of several fund-raising campaigns that Windermere Stellar launches throughout the year to support the foundation. Agents make personal donations, and auctions, sales and galas have raised more than $2.5 million to help more than 135 local organizations aiding children and families.
Windermere Stellar has been locally owned and managed for 40 years, with offices in Portland, Vancouver, Lake Oswego, West Linn and the north Oregon coast.
