Grant High School’s second master planning workshop will begin at 9 a.m. November 7, but early birds may arrive at 8:30 a.m. for breakfast at the school, 2245 N.E. 36th Ave.
The high school is among three being upgraded with money from a bond approved by voters. The other two schools are Franklin in Southeast Portland and Roosevelt in North Portland.
A design team will use comments from the two workshops to propose a plan for Grant that will be reviewed in a public open house on December 3. The open house will provide an opportunity to fine-tune the plan before it is presented to the school board, said David Mayne, a spokesman for the bond projects.
In January, Mayne said, a team will begin schematic design work for a rebuilt Grant. Two workshops and a public open house will be scheduled for the design proposal in 2016, he said.
