Inger McDowell-Hartye, who recently operated a pop-up shop out of the former Rocket Pizza location in Cully, has re-opened her curated gift shop, With Love, From PDX, in the former Hacienda CDC location on Northeast 42nd Avenue.
“With Love, From PDX is a gifting company that supports local makers,” said McDowell-Hartye. “We source our products locally and curate gifts for busy realtors, professionals and corporations.
Our name represents the soul of our company and reflects a deep appreciation for the makers who I work with and whose products are made in Portland and curated in our gift boxes.”
McDowell-Hartye launched the original With Love, From PDX in the spring of 2015 and her new shop at 5136 N.E. 42nd Ave. will be open for workshops weekly and by appointment for curating gifts.
“We will be expanding our offerings to include craft workshops that will be taught by local makers. We’ll be teaching weaving, candle-making, calligraphy, and other craft courses in our new space,” said McDowell-Hartye. “We opened on November 21 with our first class by Amy Vance, owner of Vance Family Candles. We’ll offer a holiday wreath workshop on December 5, a throw blanket workshop on Dec. 12, open studio hours on December 17, and on January 16 we’ll host a Weave 101 workshop. The space is also available for private events, baby showers and craft events.”
“Michael DeMarco and Our 42nd Ave. helped launch a ten-week popup for my company in the spring,” said McDowell-Hartye. “When I was approached about the opportunity to open a new space, I was thrilled at the chance to come back to Cully. It’s a great community and I look forward to building relationships and growing my business in this neighborhood. This new venture identified a gap in the gifting market. I love helping people send gifts and am excited about the potential for growth.”
