The Hollywood Theatre has started accepting submissions for the first round of programming at its airport theater space, the Hollywood Theatre @PDX, which is scheduled to open late this summer.
The project is a collaboration between the theater and the Port of Portland. The space in the airport’s “C” concourse will serve the airport’s 16 million annual visitors, who can drop in to watch films while waiting for their flights.
Programming will rotate quarterly, and submissions will be accepted on a rolling basis. To be considered, films must be ten minutes in length or shorter, be appropriate for a general audience, feature original content and high production values, have been created by a local or regional artist – or concern issues relating to Oregon or the Pacific Northwest – and not contain advertisements of any kind.
The deadline for the first round is April 30.
