Alberta Main Street has hired Kenya Budd as their equity and engagement coordinator. Budd will be leading efforts to expand Alberta Main Street’s ability to address issues in the district related to equity, diversity and inclusion.
Budd has more than ten years of experience as an educator and consultant, training senior leaders and developing measurement tools for organizations to help improve diversity outcomes. She has also designed and led peace-building projects and community engagement projects.
The William G. Gilmore Fund of The Oregon Community Foundation, The Pacific Power Foundation and the U.S. Bank Foundation provide funding for the position.
Budd lives in Portland with her two daughters, ages four and 18.
