The Boise and Eliot neighborhoods will celebrate a new public space by organizing a summer gathering with the flavor of a classic neighborhood block party, according to spokesman Ethan Dunham.
The gathering will be 2-6 p.m. June 18 at the Courtyard at One North, at North Williams Avenue and Fremont Street.
The event will celebrate the past, present and future of the North Williams/Vancouver corridor. Music will come from Ural Thomas & the Pain, Farnell Newton & the Othership Connection and Andre St. James.
The Black Williams Project will present art. Local historian O.B. Hill will lead historic walking tours. New Seasons Market, Las Primas, Bread & Honey Café, Whole Bowl and Hub Urban Brewery will provide food and drink.
