Providence Portland Medical Center has announced leadership changes in its internal medicine residency program, with Mari Kai, M.D., heading the graduate medical education program for more than 30 interns and residents.
Dr. Kai, a program faculty member since 1999, has practiced at Providence Medical Group Northeast and served as medical director for the past 10 years.
She succeeds Mark Rosenberg, M.D., who guided interns and residents for 35 years. He will expand his work with the Compassion Program throughout Providence Health & Services. In addition, Rosenberg will remain a faculty member with lectures, clinical activity and precepting of residents.
With Dr. Kai becoming program manager, Brinton Clark, M.D., has been named medical director of Providence Medical Group Northeast. He has been a faculty member since 2005 and has served at the clinic.
