Northeast Village PDX, a membership organization that provides volunteer services to help seniors remain in their homes, has signed a lease for office space in the former Portland Tissue Labs building at 5012 N.E. 42nd St. in the Cully neighborhood. The office is being repainted and will open its doors on November 1. In addition to office space, the building has a conference room that will accommodate up to 20 people for small community events.
“Our vision is a vibrant, inter-generational, inter-connected and mutually supportive community of members who live at home for as long as they choose,” said Margaret Baldwin, who serves as chair of the organization’s governing council.
The organization is seeking donations of cash, furniture and technology to get its new offices up and running. All donations are tax deductible.
