Thank you neighbors for participating in the 2016 Fremont Holiday Fest and thanks for your generous contributions to the Pongo Fund – because hungry people have hungry pets.
Tonight we raised a little over $500 to fight animal hunger. The Pongo Fund aims to reduce shelter populations – and keep families together – by providing emergency pet food assistance to anyone in honest need.
The fund strives to protect pets from suffering, starvation, surrender and abandonment when a lack of food – but not a lack of love – is their only enemy.
Major sponsors for this year’s holiday fest included Alameda Brew House, The Arrangement, Erin Fortin Photography, Frazier Wealth Management, Peak Mortgage, Sand’s Solutions and Venture Portland. Supporting sponsors included Albina Community Bank, Green Dog Pet Supply, Paperjam Press and The Star News.
