The Cully neighborhood will be creating a community energy plan, thanks to a $100,000 grant from Partners for Places, a national organization dedicated to improving urban areas, and the Meyer Memorial Trust, which invests in change to ease inequities and disparities.
The Portland Bureau of Planning and Sustainability, and Verde, which has been bringing new environmental investments to Portland neighborhoods since 2005, received the funds to focus on climate action. The plan is expected to bring benefits to both residents and businesses in Cully.
