On March 14, demolition started on the longstanding Rheinlander building at 5035 N.E. Sandy Boulevard in Rose City Park to make way for the Portland Clinic Northeast project by Venerable Development.
“We’re glad to be underway and excited about the project for the neighborhood,” said Craig Kelly, Venerable’s president. “We’re scheduled for completion in July of 2018. The demolition process will take about three weeks. You’ll see real progress start to be made on the construction probably in June. We’re working on putting some signage on the site, so there will be a new picture of the building on-site in the next month or so.”
In addition to the 24,000 square feet that will be leased to the clinic, the 32,000-square-foot project will include 6-8,000 square feet of ground floor retail space fronting Sandy. The project is planned to include at least 45 parking spaces.
