After 20 years on the corner of Northeast 57th and Sandy in Rose City Park, Mike Dudas and Craig Lessard’s Northwest Auto and Truck Accessories and Northwest Flag and Banner shops will be moving at the beginning of this month. The new, larger location will be at 10652 N.E. Holman, a former car dealership off of I-205 and Airport Way in the Parkrose neighborhood. The family-owned companies had outgrown the space at 5700 N.E. Sandy Boulevard and were looking for more room to serve their customers as they expand the focus of the business to accessorizing commercial vans.
“In addition to our traditional services, we want to become a one-stop shop for people with commercial vehicle needs,” said Lessard. “Our core business is to individualize vehicles and provide solutions for vehicle needs. We install everything we sell and our installers are factory-trained and certified.”
According to Lessard, the property at the busy intersection, across the street from the George Washington statue, has been sold to an investor who will likely seek a new commercial tenant, rather than demolishing and redeveloping the building.
“Having been located on Sandy Boulevard for twenty years has been a blessing for our business,” “ said Lessard. “We have gotten to know the community and made many friends. It’s exciting to see the changes in the neighborhood as it’s turned into a destination for shopping and dining. We really enjoyed being a part of Hollywood and Rose City Park. I’ll sure miss being right down the street from Clyde’s Prime Rib and Thai Seasons. I can’t say enough about what a good neighbor the Rose City Park United Methodist Church has been, allowing our employees and customers to use their parking lot Monday thru Saturday. I wouldn’t have moved if we didn’t need more space and parking, but we’re only moving ten minutes east. I would like to thank the community for all your support over the years and you’ll still see me around at one of my many favorite food establishments. Be sure to come visit our new location!”
