In July, Living Room Realty announced an exclusive sales and marketing partnership with Dweller, a new company that builds, installs and leases Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) for homeowners and renters in Portland neighborhoods.
“Living Room’s deep knowledge of Portland and strong commitment to providing an opportunity for all Portland residents to live in amenity rich neighborhoods made aligning with them a natural choice,” said Beaumont neighbor Patrick Quinton, Dweller CEO and co-founder. “They truly understand and know how to serve the unique needs of renters and homeowners in Portland and we look forward to working together.”
Quinton served as executive director of the Portland Development Commission, the city’s economic development and urban renewal agency, from 2011 through 2016. The partnership will allow Living Room Realty to present its clients with a turnkey ADU solution and an opportunity to earn rental income or accommodate multi-generational living. It will also provide an affordable housing option for Living Room’s renter clients.
“We are excited to partner with Dweller to offer our clients a unique opportunity,” said Jenelle Isaacson, Living Room owner. “It’s a low-risk opportunity for homeowners with underutilized space to generate income or create a separate space. For renters, it can be an affordable opportunity to live in a desirable urban neighborhood.”
Aryne Blumklotz and Dulcinea Myers-Newcomb, brokers and ADU certified specialists at Living Room will work with homeowners interested in purchasing an ADU or leasing land to Dweller. Dweller will provide permitting, off-site construction, installation, landscaping, maintenance and management of the unit. Homeowners can start earning extra income with no additional investment within three months of signing a lease agreement.
Dweller ADUs are approximately 450 square feet and have a living space, a kitchen with full size appliances, a bathroom and a bedroom. Landscaping is provided to ensure privacy between the primary unit and the Dweller ADU. Model units will be available for viewing in early Fall 2017.
