In August, the view at the corner of Northeast 42nd and Halsey improved when the Hollywood Towne House apartment building added a new mural by Andrew Schoultz to its large, western-facing wall.
Built in 1962, the eight-story complex at 4265 N.E. Halsey St. is owned and managed by Courtyard Properties. Schoultz works with local nonprofit Forest For The Trees to create lasting works that are publicly accessible to all of Portland.
“We’ve heard lots of great feedback from our neighbors and from the community,” said Jessie Cornwell, site manager for the property. “I love it. I love the style and I love the gradient effect. It’s just beautiful.”
