“Prior to becoming a financial advisor with Edward Jones, I was a practicing attorney for six years with the US Air Force,” said Carlisle. “My husband and I decided to leave active-duty military and, while I was in the process of establishing my law license in Oregon, I was recruited by Edward Jones. After researching the Edward Jones business model, I realized their client-focused approach and dedication to serving individuals and small businesses was a perfect fit for me.”
When Carlisle and her husband moved to Oregon two and a half years ago, they fell in love with Northeast Portland and the Hollywood neighborhood.
“It has almost a small town, intimate feel to it,” said Carlisle. “Edward Jones advisors get to pick the area they want to establish and grow their business, and when I learned the Hollywood neighborhood was available, I immediately knew this was the perfect home for me and Kristi. My approach to serving clients in the community is goal-focused and driven. Whether a client is planning for retirement, saving for college for children or grandchildren, or just trying to protect the financial future of the ones they care for the most, we can work together to develop specific strategies to help them achieve their goals. These strategies are always custom tailored to each individual client.”
On the first Tuesday of every month, Carlisle hosts a Coffee Club in her office to discuss current events, the economy and investing in a relaxed, informal setting. Coffee and pastries are provided.
“I never charge consultation fees,” said Carlisle. “Getting to know a client personally and fully understanding their financial wants and needs is a part of my job. I welcome anyone in the community to come have a coffee and sit down with me for 45 minutes so I can get to know them and their goals and explain how I can help.”
