What will you do when the Cascadia Subduction Zone earthquake begins shaking the West Coast?
An earthquake preparedness class will outline how to prepare physically and psychologically for each stage of a major quake.
The class is scheduled from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. Jan. 21 at the Kenton Library, 8226 N. Denver Ave. The session is free but registration is required online at www.multcolib.org or 503-988-5123 or in the Kenton library.
Information will include what to do during the shaking, immediately after and during the days and months afterward. Participants will learn how to prioritize and customize their planning and how to involve neighbors. Government and school preparations will be outlined, too, along with the work of local Neighborhood Emergency Teams.
